Taper shank JIS BT40 for use with Hexagon touch probes with D28 connection. For probe activation via preloaded Hexagon pull stud or bidirectional activation in the machine tool.

The shank establishes a secure connection between the touch probe and the spindle in the machine tool. Hexagon offers a wide range of shanks for various interfaces and different probe activation methods.

Shank Activation Method
- Bidirectional: The touch probe is activated via a signal sent from the receiver.
- Pull stud activation: The touch probe is activated with a shank equipped with a hexagon pull stud by pulling on the pull stud.
