Measurement routines can be created without the an online connection to physical metrology hardware. Not only does allow greater convenience for programming (anytime, anywhere), it means that expensive to run metrology hardware is free to measure parts on the factory floor.

The fully realised virtual environment incorporates the characteristics of the measurement hardware, probes, accessories and other environmental variables, so that routines can be created using digital twins of part model and machine.

The latest version of PC-DMIS Offline includes support for an even wider range virtual machines that include Stationary CMMs, Portable Arms, Vision Systems and Laser Trackers. The user interface is also reconfigured automatically for the selected device type.
