This 5 day instructor-led classroom course, held at a Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Solution Center, is a course for those students using laser scanners. First time users of PC-DMIS will learn a basic understanding of the software and measurements necessary to write and execute inspection plans on Portable Arms.This course also teaches the use of laser scanners and scanning funtions. Lessons include such topics as scanning functions, point cloud alignments, auto features, point cloud cross sections and meshing.

Objectives:  This course teaches the use of the RSx, HP-L and CMS scanners. Topics include scanning functions, point cloud alignments, point cloud cross sections, surface colormapping, meshing and the use of auto feature extraction.  Students will learn how to set up and align the scanner, as well as how to interpret the alignment results.
